Jianghong DongMs. Jianghong Dong is a Chinese patent attorney and partner of IP March, a Chinese IP law firm. Her practice covers patent search, drafting, prosecution, invalidation, opinion and litigation in electronics, computer hardware and software, autonomous vehicles, telecommunication and fintech areas. Her IP career began in 2008 and she worked at two IP firms before joining IP March as a partner. Ms. Dong received a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Hunan University of Science and Technology and a Master’s degree in Philosophy of Science and Technology from Renmin University. In addition to private practice, Ms. Dong also gained in-house counsel experience during her secondment in a prestigious multi-national company.

Stephen Yang is a Chinese patent attorney and managing partner of IP March, a Chinese IP law firm. His practice covers patent search, drafting, prosecution, invalidation, opinion and litigation in mechanics, electronics, energy and high tech areas. His IP career began in 1997. In addition to practicing in IP firms in China, he once worked in-house in Canada. Stephen’s technical background is mechanical and industrial engineering. He received double Bachelor’s degrees from Tsinghua University in China and a Master’s degree from University of Toronto in Canada. Stephen is a frequent speaker and author of many articles. In particular, he is the lead author of the book “IP Protection in China”, published by ABA Publishing. Stephen has been consistently recognized by various sources as a leading IP practitioner in China.

Dr. Chang believes that the key to competent representation in patent matters is the ability to quickly and fully understand the technology involved in each case. Dr. Chang has extensive experiences with both general practice and boutique law firms, as well as both international and startup technology companies. In addition to English, Dr. Chang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and conversational in German. Dr. Chang has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in the U.S., China, and Taiwan.
